Prime 1 Enterprises gives close attention to the details

Take it from Daniel J. Meade: While it’s a good time to buy or build, it’s also a very good time to remodel. With the pace of residential construction having slowed, said Meade, contractors and subcontractors are providing better service than ever when it comes to remodeling work. In addition, material costs have held steady.

Meade speaks from experience. He is president of Prime 1 Enterprises, Inc., a high-end remodeling and building contractor, which does both residential and commercial work.

A finish carpenter by trade, Meade worked for a number of companies before starting Prime 1 Enterprises in 1993. From the outset he especially welcomed the challenges presented by high-end properties. Located in Bridgeville, Prime 1 Enterprises employs six to eight people at any given time, and regularly uses the services of select subcontractors.

One of the secrets to successful remodeling and renovation, according to Meade, is attention to detail. “You need to pay close attention to what the customer wants, what the design calls for, and constantly stay one step ahead so that you can plan rather than react.”
