The company now builds 1,000 homes a year, in 10 states, many in Pennsylvania. Only superior products are used, said Schumacher-Becker, and homes are individually customized. The quality of each home is backed by a 10-year insured transferable structural warranty that provides third-party insurance. As evidence of customer satisfaction, Schumacher-Becker pointed out that the company has one of the lowest claim rates in the nation.
If a potential buyer faces the prospect of carrying two mortgages, Schumacher Homes has a program that will take care of payments on the new custom home for a year.
