Celebrations announcements can be seen each week in the Tuesday issue of the newspaper and on post-gazette.com for 30 days. A number of pre-priced announcement sizes are now available to make placing your announcement easy.

Announcements can be delivered in person to the Celebrations consultant in the Post-Gazette lobby, faxed to 412-263-1263 or mailed in one envelope to:

Order by Phone or Online

Announcements can also be submitted by phone at 412-263-1236 or by building your announcement online.

Photographs

• Any size photo can be submitted and will be cropped to fit the size of the photo box. Reduction/sizing will be done electronically by the Post-Gazette.
• Good quality b/w or color photos with clear, sharp contrast work best. Inkjet prints, laser prints and color copies will yield lower quality reproduction. All photos reproduced in the newspaper and on the web site will be b/w.
• Your photo(s) will be returned within a two-week period. (Please write your name and address on the back of each photo.) The PG pays for the return of your photo(s), but is not responsible for lost or damaged photos.

To Submit a Photo Electronically

Photos can also be sent electronically. Visit www.pgaddesk.com. Select File Delivery/Ad Materials and complete all fields with red asterisks. Select Susan Aschenbrenner for Account Representative and indicate "Celebrations" in the comment box. Photos should be sent as a PDF or JPG file and must be at least 170 dpi. If you experience difficulties, please contact Mark Anthony at 412-263-1368.

Editing

The Post-Gazette reserves the right to edit information to fit in the size of announcement selected and use news judgment to determine what will be published. Final announcement copy and cost will be reviewed with you by phone before publication.

Pre-Payment

Pre-payment is required and must be received before an announcement is published. We accept cash, checks, money orders, Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover.

Deadline

The deadline to submit an announcement is noon on Thursday prior to the Tuesday publication date. Engagement and wedding announcements may take 2-3 weeks to process and are published in the order they are received. Special consideration will be given to date-sensitive announcements like birthdays and anniversaries.
