Wright Saab is about to unveil the 2008 9-3 TurboX XWD
Wright Saab, at 10885 Perry Highway, in Wexford, Pa., is the oldest Saab franchise in Pittsburgh. The dealership, said General Sales Manager R.J. Lucci, carries the largest inventory of Saabs in the Tri-state area. Right now that inventory includes the 9-3 sport sedan, the 9-3 convertible, the the 9-3 Sportcombi (all available in the 2.0T and Aero Models), the 9-5 sedan and the 9-5 Sportcombi (also available in the 2.3T and Aero Models), as well as the 9-7X, a sport utility all-wheel drive available in the 4.2i, 5.2i and a Limited Edition 390hp Aero. For 2009, the Saab 9-7X will morph into more of a crossover vehicle.
Founded by aircraft engineers, Saab’s engineering reflects its aerodynamic heritage. Buyers, said Lucci, often become fiercely loyal to the brand.
According to the sales manager, a Saab can range from $28,000 to $55,000 and up. At the present time, he added, a number of purchase and leasing incentives are in place.
Right now Lucci anticipates the arrival of the 2008 9-3 TurboX XWD, which will be available in an Aero sport sedan, or Aero Sportcombi body styles. Only 600 of these cars will be distributed to the 200 Saab dealers in the United States, and Wright Saab will have four of them.
“We want to get people on our shopping list,” said Lucci. “Dollar for dollar, I think they’ll find that Saab is one of the best values on the market.”
