At the top of the hill with Hamilton Subaru
L. Malcolm Hamilton has had franchised new-car and truck dealerships located at the top of Jacktown Hill in Irwin, for over years. Today there are five franchises, including Subaru.
“Subaru is very big on all-wheel drive and safety,” said Timothy J. Koval, general sales manager of Hamilton Subaru. “I feel safer in this car than in any I’ve ever ridden in.” Koval is so convinced of Subaru’s benefits that he just leased one for his wife.
Subaru, building on its reputation for engineering and safety, has a product lineup that includes the Tribeca, the Outback, the Legacy, the Forester, the Impeza, and the Impreza WRX.
While all have something to offer a range of buyers, the 2009 Subaru Forester Crossover is getting more than its share of attention, said Koval. This all-new, third-generation version exceeds the high standards already set by the 2008 Forester. The 2009 entry is bigger, but not enough to detract from spirited performance. It is offered in an array of models, including the more luxurious L.L. Bean and Limited Editions.
Koval said leasing as well as buying opportunities are excellent. Pricing is affordable, and warranties are generous. Currently, said Koval, three of Subaru’s five product lines can be leased for less than $200 per month plus tax. Hamilton Subaru provides two years of free maintenance for any client that leases a vehicle.
“We’re also looking for used Subarus,” said Koval, “because there is always a customer looking for a pre-owned Subaru.” A guaranteed trade-in program is in effect, with certain restrictions, through June 30.
