At the business end of Sewickley Bridge

If you know where the 750-foot long Sewickley Bridge spans the Ohio River, you won’t have any trouble finding the Sewickley Car Store of Pittsburgh. The dealership, which handles Porsche, Audi and BMW, is located just over the Sewickley end of the bridge.

Robert Nikel, majority partner, is a former service manager. Joe Scarfone, minority partner, is a former parts manager. Nikel founded the business in 1976 and Scarfone joined the next year.

“Our entire orientation has been on service and the customer,” said Scarfone.

The Sewickley Car Store has 90 employees, and an inventory of new Porsches, Audis and BMWs, as well as pre-owned vehicles. And business, of late, has been encouraging.

“This year, we had our best March ever,” said Scarfone.
